Not only is God near, but He also wants to make your heart His lowly throne. Just think about that for a moment. The Almighty God, the Savior of the world, wants to dwell within you. He wants to be a part of your life and guide you every step of the way. How amazing is that?
You see, my friend, God’s love for you is so immense that He gave Himself for you. He came down to this earth and died on the cross to save you from your sins. And now, in His immense love, He gives Himself to His own, to you. He offers you His love, His grace, and His forgiveness. All you have to do is open your heart and receive Him.
And here’s the best part – He doesn’t just leave it at that. No, He continues to plead before the mercy seat on your behalf. He intercedes for you, He speaks to God on your behalf, and He fights for you. Can you imagine having someone so powerful advocating for you? It’s like having the ultimate superhero on your side!
But there’s more. God not only pleads for you, but He also provides for you. He gives you bread from heaven to eat. Now, you might be thinking, “But I’ve never seen bread fall from the sky!” And you’re right, my friend. It’s not physical bread that He provides, but something much greater. In a mysterious way, God gives you His flesh and blood to nourish your soul. It’s a spiritual feast that satisfies your deepest longings and brings you closer to Him.
Now, in light of all this, how can we respond? How can we show our gratitude and love for this incredible God who is near? It’s simple – we come to Him. We answer His call and blend our prayers with His. We give ourselves fully to Him, holding nothing back. We surrender our worries, our fears, and our dreams to Him, knowing that He is trustworthy and faithful.
And as we come to Him and feed on Him, we make Him ours. We experience His presence in our lives, His peace that surpasses all understanding, and His joy that fills our hearts. We become one with Him, united in love and purpose.
So my dear friend, be still. Be still in the knowledge that God is near. Be still in the assurance that you are loved, cherished, and valued by the Creator of the universe. Let His presence fill your heart, guide your steps, and bring you an everlasting peace. Be still, my soul, for God is near!
