I Am A Soldier Enlisted For The King

I am a soldier, enlisted for the King;
And to the battle my life, my all I bring;
Nor will I aught withhold,
From Him whose love untold
Has made me free from stain of sin.

We are soldiers of the King,
‘Neath His banner we will stand,
Fight is won, the march is done,
And we possess the land.

My captain tells me we’ll win the victory,
And I believe Him, and I will faithful be
Thro’ battles hard and long,
Until the victor’s song
My voice shall raise before His throne. [Refrain]

How great the joy then, when we the fight have won;
How sweet the rest then, when we the course have run;
Crown of rejoicing mine,
Not only mine, but thine,
And crowns us for His soldiers true. [Refrain]
