Ive Left Egypt And Its Sin Behind Me

I’ve left Egypt and its sin behind me,
Pitched my tent in Canaan’s blest embrace,
Told the world that it may ever find me
Living under grace.

From sin and condemnation, I now am free,
I’ve tasted full salvation and it just suits me;
I live in perfect freedom, in ev’ry time and place,
For I’m not living under law, but under grace.

When temptation spreads its net around me,
Then I look into my Saviour’s face,
And rejoice to know that sin has found me
Living under grace. [Refrain]

On the mountain-top of blessing living,
There can be no safer resting place;
Here all glory to my Lord I’m giving,
Living under grace. [Refrain]
