In that radiant countenance, we see the boundless love and glory of the Father shining through. It is a love that surpasses all understanding, and a glory that illuminates the heavens and the earth alike.
Thine almighty power and wisdom are evident in every corner of creation. From the grandeur of the mountains to the delicate petals of a flower, all proclaim Thy handiwork. We stand in awe of Your majesty, for You are the ever great I AM.
Oh Lamb of God, Thy dwelling place was in the Father’s bosom. From before the foundations of the world, You were one with Him in power and grace. It was Your delight to rejoice with Him, and yet You chose to lay aside Your glory. You left the comforts of heaven to come to this broken world, all because of Your wondrous love and mercy.
We see You, Lamb of God, lying humbly in a manger. You, the Creator of all things, became a homeless stranger in the world that Your own hands had made. And when we witness Your agony in the garden, as drops of blood fall from Your brow, we are confounded by Your holiness and spotlessness. For You, the sinless One, took upon Yourself the weight of our guilt and folly.
Lord, with hearts filled with adoration, we acknowledge that You loved us unto blood. You willingly bore our judgment and suffered on the cross, offering Yourself as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. We bow before You in gratitude and awe, proclaiming glory and honor everlasting to You, the Lamb of God.
And though this earth may be a sad place, we take comfort in the fact that You will return in glory. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that You are Lord. Your enemies will quake before You, and those who have despised You will mourn. In that day, Your saints will be gathered to You, and together we will reign in Your kingdom.
We look forward to the day when all praise and glory will be Yours, Lamb of God, for You were slain for sinners like us. In that glorious moment, every tear will be wiped away, and we will forever dwell in Your presence.
