May We Who Know The Joyful Sound
May we who know the joyful sound
Still practice what we know,
Not hearers of the word alone
But doers of it, too.
By acts of mercy let us show
We have not heard in vain,
But kindly feel another’s woe
And long to ease his pain.
Thankful that we the gospel hear
And love the joyful sound,
Oh, may its sacred fruits appear
And in our lives abound.
