To The Cross My Heart Is Clinging

To the cross my heart is clinging,
For ’twas there my Saviour died;
IN its shadow I am resting,
And my soul is satisfied.

Refrain:
To the cross, the hallowed cross,
The cross where Jesus died for me,
Evermore my heart is clinging,
To the blessed cross of Calvary.

To the cross my heart is clinging,
Jesus is my hope, my all;
Tho’ sometimes I fear and falter,
Never will He let me fall. [Refrain]

To the cross my heart is clinging,
Never shall it love its pow’r;
And to me it grows more precious
Ev’ry day and ev’ry hour. [Refrain]

To the cross my heart is clinging,
And I know, some blessed day,
I shall dwell in His sweet presence,
For the cross will lead the way. [Refrain]
