To Thee O Lamb Of God

To thee, O Lamb of God, to thee
I come, with all my fears;
With all the sins that burden me,
In penitence and tears.

Oh, receive me, Lord, I pray,
Weak and sinful though I am;
Take, oh, take my sins away;
Bless me, O thou bleeding Lamb!

Thy open wounds supply the balm
That heals the suff’ring heart;
‘Tis only this, thou precious Lamb,
Can life and health impart. [Refrain]

Be merciful, O Lam of God,
Hear this, my only plea,-
That thou canst cleanse me by thy blood,-
Have mercy then on me. [Refrain]

Thy saving blood, of greater worth
Than aught the world hath given,
Shall be my last blest song on earth,
And first glad theme in heaven. [Refrain]
