Wandering Afar From Home And God

Wan’dring afar from home and God,
Foll’wing the way the lost have trod,
Reck’ning the blood of Christ in vain,
Bearing the blight of sin and shame.

Refrain:
Christ is calling,
Hear His voice,
He stands pleading,
Wand’rer make Him now your choice.

Oft in the stillness I must hear
Accents of duty loud and clear;
What can it mean my soul to be
List’ning the while Christ talks with me. [Refrain]

Mountain-like sins before me rise,
Clouds hide away the sunlit skies;
Weary and worn my soul would rest,
Lovingly on my Saviour’s breast. [Refrain]
