We Are Traveling Home To A Goodly Land

We are trav’ling home to a goodly land,
Where our loved have gone before;
They have fought the fight, they have kept the faith,
And have reached the golden shore.

Refrain:
They are watching, watching for the boat
That shall come to bear us o’er the sea;
When our work is done and our crown is won,
Shat a meeting, what a meeting there will be!

We are trav’ling home in the path they trod,
And our hearts with joy o’erflow,
For we trace the prints of their pilgrim feet,
As they journeyed long ago. [Refrain]

We are trav’ling home in the King’s highway
To his realm so bright and fair;
And he cheers us on with the happy thought,-
There will be no sorrow there. [Refrain]

We are trav’ling home to a goodly land,
That is clothed in fadeless bloom,
It was bought by him who has conquered death,
And is victor o’er the tomb. [Refrain]
