We Praise Thee Jesus Gracious Lord – Hymn Lyric

We praise thee, Jesus, gracious Lord,
Great Prophet, Priest and King;
We praise thee, for thy blessed word,
Thy praise we join to sing.

How bless’d are we, who know our God
Who by his word are taught:
To know that Jesus shed his blood,
And hath us dearly bought.

We join to praise his holy name,
All praise to him be giv’n.
To die for us on earth he came:
And made us heirs of heav’n.

O may we ever keep in mind,
What Christ for us has done:
For mercies great of ev’ry kind,
Jesus to us has shown.

His word it teaches us the way,
The way to life and peace;
When humbly we to him do pray,
He grants us pard’ning grace,

Our life, our health and all we have,
Our blessed Lord does give;
He came our precious souls to save,
And died that we should live.

Since God to us so kind does prove,
We praise him all our days;
For none but he deserves our love,
And none but he our praise.

The Lord will help us all our days,
In grace and love to grow.
We’ll strive to walk in all his ways,
As well as we do know.

We are in his almighty hands,
Who does for us provide;
And those who walk in his commands,
Have all their wants suppli’d.

The Lord to us is good and kind,
If we his word obey;
O then we shall be sure to find,
The things for which we pray.

For Jesus’ sake God will forgive,
The evils we have done.
Teach us a holy life to live,
Like Jesus his dear Son.

We pray thee, Lord, keep us from sin,
And ev’ry sinful way:
O may we never walk therein,
Like sheep that go astray.

For sinful ways they lead to hell,
The place of endless pain:
Where wicked man and Devils dwell,
And ever shall remain.

Meaning of We Praise Thee Jesus Gracious Lord

We Praise Thee, Jesus Gracious Lord: A Hymn of Praise and Thanks

In this hymn, we gather together to express our gratitude and admiration for Jesus, our gracious Lord. We acknowledge Him as a Great Prophet, Priest, and King. His blessed word guides and teaches us, helping us understand the immense love He has shown us through His sacrifice on the cross.

We are truly blessed to know our God. Through His word, we come to understand that Jesus shed His blood for us and paid a great price to redeem us. This knowledge fills our hearts with praise and thanksgiving. We join together to honor His holy name, recognizing that He came to earth to die for us and make us heirs of heaven.

Let us always keep in mind the incredible actions Christ has taken on our behalf. His mercies are abundant, and He never ceases to shower us with His grace. Through His word, we discover the way to life and peace. It is when we humbly approach Him in prayer that He grants us the gift of forgiveness and offers us His pardoning grace.

Everything we have, our life, our health, and all that we possess, is a gift from our blessed Lord. He came to save our precious souls and offers us the opportunity to live eternally with Him. Therefore, it is only fitting that we express our gratitude and praise for His goodness and kindness.

The Lord is always with us, holding us in His almighty hands. He provides all that we need, both physically and spiritually. When we faithfully follow His commands, He fulfills our every desire and ensures that our wants and needs are met. It is comforting to know that we have a loving God who takes care of us.

As we continue our journey with the Lord, we strive to grow in grace and love. We seek to walk in all His ways, using His word as our guide. We understand that by adhering to His teachings, we will be blessed and experience His presence in our lives.

Through His word, we learn that God is good and kind. If we obey His commands, He promises to answer our prayers. Therefore, we should strive to live a holy life, imitating Jesus, His beloved Son. By doing so, we honor Him and express our love and devotion to Him.

In our prayers, we plead with the Lord to keep us from sin and from straying from His path. We recognize that sin leads to destruction and eternal separation from God. We do not want to be like lost sheep, wandering aimlessly away from the safety and guidance of our heavenly Shepherd.

Sinful ways may lead us down a treacherous path, one that ends in a place of endless pain known as hell. It is a place where wicked individuals and demons dwell, forever separated from the love and presence of God. However, through Jesus’ sacrifice, we have the opportunity to turn away from sin and embrace a life of righteousness.

Let us remember to continuously lift our voices in praise to our gracious Lord, Jesus. His love, sacrifice, and teachings deserve our everlasting gratitude and devotion. Through His word, we find solace, redemption, and the path to eternal life.

As we conclude this hymn, may our hearts be filled with love and thanksgiving for all that Jesus has done for us. Let us strive to live a life that is pleasing to Him, avoiding sin and seeking His guidance in all that we do. We trust in His mercy and know that through Him, we can find forgiveness and true joy.

In the name of Jesus, our gracious Lord, we sing with joy and gratitude. Amen.
